Como Park is one of the premier parks in the State of Minnesota. Within its 450 acres it has an 18-hole golf course, a zoo, conservatory, and Como Lake where paddle boats can be rented in the summer. The Lake has excellent bass and panfish fishing. There is a 1.6 mile hiking/biking trail around the lake. The Lakeside pavilion provides an area for meetings and receptions, with food service, and has concerts and plays throughout the summer.
The Como Conservatory, built in 1915 and recently restored, offers a variety of seasonal flower shows throughout the year. The Como-Ordway Memorial Japanese Garden, adjacent to the Conservatory, offers a unique quiet place. The Garden and Conservatory are both available for weddings. The zoo has been remodelled in recent years and has many unique animals. Sparky the Sea Lion preforms daily during the summer months. There are large picnic areas within the park. Special services provided in Como Park are amusement rides, mini-golf, pony rides and the outdoor Como swimming pool.
The club house, situated next to the golf course, is also available for rental for special events all year around. Cross-country and downhill ski areas are provided during the winter, with equipment rental and instructions available, and concessions as well.
