Metro Transit seeks comments on Purple Line route options

Construction of the Purple Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line between Maplewood and Union Depot is schedule to begin in 2027.  Metro Transit is taking public comments on the two potential routes between Maplewood and Union Depot, either along the Bruce Vento Regional Trail or on White Bear Avenue.

Comments are being accepted now through August 30, 2024 through a survey or interactive map.

More information about the Purple Line BRT Project is available here.

The Friends of the Parks and Trails of Saint Paul and Ramsey County has not taken a position on the proposed routes but expects to do so in the future.
