Construction Begins On Saint Paul’s Newest Park

The July 16 groundbreaking ceremony signaled the start of work on what will be Pedro Park. The open land at 10th and Robert Streets was for decades the site of Pedro Luggage. The Pedro family gave the land to the City of Saint Paul to be developed as a park.

Designs for the nearly $7 million dollar park call for a picnic shelter, tables, seats, a dog run, play area, gardens, plaza space, tree plantings and open green area. Pedro Park is slated to open in July 2025.
