Daylighting Phalen Creek: Final Community Engagement Session Thursday, September 12th

Wakan Tipi Awanyankapi and the Daylighting of Phalen Creek project team are hosting the third and last community engagement session for comments on the Phase 1 Design of Phalen Creek. It will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 12th at the green space located at Magnolia Lane and Johnson Parkway, near Elim International Christian Church. Parking will be available at the Elim parking lot, 1275 E Magnolia Avenue, St Paul, MN 55106.

Wakan Tipi Awanyankapi and the project team have completed about 60% of the preliminary design for the Phase 1 of the daylighting project. Organizers are seeking feedback on:

  • design and content of signs
  • plant selection
  • renaming Phalen Creek

This will be the last chance to provide public comment on the design of this section of the creek. A creek-related coloring activity for children and light refreshments will be provided. To register, click here. Email Gabby at gmenomin@wakantipi.org for more information.
