Mark a special occasion, remember a loved one, or simply add trees to our shared urban forest by giving a Tribute Tree to a park. We have donated over 7,500 trees to Twin Cities Metro area parks. (History and Accomplishments.)
Give a Tribute Tree Year Round
Donate a Tribute Tree to a park as a memorial or to commemorate an event. Celebrate an anniversary with a tree, give a tree for a birthday, a Valentine or other holiday. Give a commemorative tree for the birth of a child, or any noteworthy occasion, or as a memorial tree on behalf of a loved one.
You receive a letter acknowledging your donation and the person you are honoring receives a certificate and hand-written card. Staff of the local park system chooses tree species, park location and plants trees in the Spring after purchase. If you wish for the honoree to receive a map, showing the location of the tree, the Tribute Tree costs $400, instead of $150.
Tribute trees donated to the Minneapolis – St. Paul area parks often replace trees lost to disease and weather damage.
How to Give a Tax-Deductible Gift Tribute Tree to a Park
- Tribute Trees are planted by park staff in the Spring following purchase. No work for you!
- RETURNS: Unfortunately we are unable to return or replace trees purchased through the annual tree sale or trees donated to parks.
- Each Tribute Tree costs $150, or $400 if you wish for the honoree to receive a map, showing its location. Your gift is tax-deductible.
