A chance to canoe the Mississippi River in your future?

On September 10, Friends’ Executive Director, Shirley Erstad, took part in a test run on the Mississippi River for the National Park Service.  In a quest to offer more folks an opportunity to enjoy the river, the National Park Service is exploring the possibility of renting canoes, much like bikes are rented in the Nice Ride system.  Here is the link to the news story:  http://twelve.tv/news/newsitem.aspx?newsid=1481&newsitemid=28491
